My Better Half

I love these two engagement photographs of my sweet husband and I. Our happiness positively oozes off the prints. I remember being anxious and stressed on the day these photographs were taken because of various wedding details that were consuming me. Corey, in his non-chalant, easy-going demeanor, gave me a squeeze, tucked my hair behind my ears and said, "Hey Babe, everything will take care of itself...so right now, lets just take some pictures..." He is my constant reality check. My constant calm. My constant center.

I love this picture because our photographer truly managed to capture a moment. See the little, sweet, blink-and-you'll-miss-it smile on Corey's face? Corey gives me that smile ten times a day. It lasts approximately 0.75 seconds and it is usually in regards to some sort of cute comment or mischievious act. In this instance, Corey put his arms around my waist and gave me a tiny tickle. Corey's barely there grin is one of pride and triumph as my overtly obvious smile is due to his perfect aim on my most ticklish spot. I am so lucky to have a best friend who can make me smile like that even in the midst of anxiety and stress.
