2 Submariners and a Sailor

For Halloween this year, Corey and I scrambled for costumes at the last minute as has become our tradition to do so. About 2 hours before our party, we had narrowed it down to our costumes from last year (a pilot and a flight attendant) or Corey's Navy gear. Wouldn't you know it, comfort wins out every time! Once I slipped into those Navy coveralls, I was in love and the flight attendant outfit didn't have a chance. (It is worth mentioning that on the boat, they call the coveralls "poopy suits." I really didn't want to write the word "poopy" on my blog but for authenticity purposes, Corey insisted on the factual terminology.)
Now the fact that Corey made it out of the Navy without a single tattoo on his body is utterly amazing. But what would an authentic submariner be without a tattoo of an anchor and the insignia of his best girl on his forearm? Luckily, Crayola markers and my underlying yet undiscovered talent as a tattoo artist remedied that situation pretty quickly.

I wanted a picture of myself in my snazzy submariner coveralls but Sailor was obsessed with me and nothing could coax him out of the picture. As soon as we put on the Navy gear, Sailor was ecstatic and jumped all around with glee. I guess he knows how he got his name.
