We ended up having a blast. While it was hot, it was not 115 degrees like the last time I was there. We went on several classics like Viper, Batman and Revolution. After sustaining a neck injury on Revolution from my head banging repeatedly into the headrest, I feel no need to ever go on that archaic coaster again. We went on some of the newer coasters like Goliath and Deja Vu. We all agreed that DejaVu made us feel really, really uncomfortable and we never wanT to partake of it again. Kevin was even concocting a game plan in his head as to what he would do if his chest harness broke (he would hold on for dear life and try to swing his leg up towards one of the metal stablizers in an attempt to hang on until rescuers could come)...
Unfortunately, the lines for the newest roller coasters like Tatsu and X2 had 2+ hour waits and none of us had the patience for that. The last ride of the day we went on was the Log Ride... It was hot and we wanted to cool down. I thought it would be like Knott's Berry Farm Log Ride with minimal chances of getting wet. I was wrong. I sat in the front and was completely drenched. As in I looked like I had jumped in a pool with all my clothes on wet. I was completely unamused. Cor, Kev and Steph, on the other hand, were completely amused. Being stuck in rush hour traffic for 2 1/2 hours while wearing wet denim is not an experience I wish to have ever again.
