4th Photo in the 4th Folder

Aunt Diane tagged me! This photograph is of Corey's rack (sleeping place) on his submarine. It is certainly not a picture that most people would like to see or, even worse, imagine sleeping in. His rack was pretty much the proportions of a coffin: 6 feet long, 2 feet wide and 3 feet deep. I do NOT know how he did it. I start to hyperventilate just imagining it.

There was a curtain he would pull to box himself in and keep out light (as if the coffin dimensions were not enough)...

Notice the various electrical wiring, tubing, piping and valves...makes for a cozy bed, right?

The rolled up sleeping bag is where his feet would be. The white bag is his stinky laundry. I will never forget the first time I went on his sub and saw his rack. I could not believe that was where he slept. It made me so sad to think of him sleeping tucked away underneath torpedos (SERIOUSLY!) in a coffin with dirty laundry at his feet. After living in accommodations like that for 5 years, Corey truly appreciates our CalKing bed and 1200 square feet of living space...as you all must too after viewing the 4th (5th, 6th and 7th) photo in my 4th folder!

OMG. I can't even imagine. That would be a deal breaker for me. Sorry Navy, this just won't do.
