Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina (otherwise known as the place where Corey's parents spoil us rotten)

Corey and I recently visited his family in South Carolina. His parents and sister moved there eight years ago when his dad was transferred. While Corey eventually also moved to South Carolina, he lived there less than a year before joining the Navy. Even though he only lived there briefly, he loved his time there volunteering for the church and being with his parents and sister. In the last several years, Corey and I have visited them four times. I, too, fell in love with Charleston on my very first visit. It is truly a unique and beautiful area. I did not take as many pictures as usual this time around and am now kicking myself. Unfortunately, Corey's parents will be moving within the next year to Rochester, NY. While we are sure we will love visiting there too, Charleston will always be special.

I always describe Mt. Pleasant the same way. And it immediately paints a picture. "It is like living on Dawson's Creek!" I'm sorry, but that is the only way I can describe it. I am always expecting Katie Holmes to coast by in her rowboat on the way to the Leery household.. (That was for my peeps who know me best!)
