I have not been blogging because there really has not been much to blog about. Life has been pretty boring and status quo... But yesterday was anything other than status quo! Unfortunately, I had to work all day. Work was slammed- who knew every kid in Orange County would need to be seen on Valentine's Day at the urgent care? The highlight of my morning was when my four year old patient told me she loved me. Just as I was catching up with my charting, I heard the door open and in walked a woman with a beautiful vase of flowers! The assortment was beautiful and included with it was a carefully written card from my wonderful Corey. It was the highlight of my afternoon. 11 hours later, after all the children of southern California had been cared for, prescriptions had been passed out like candy and breathing treatments and strep throat tests were complete, I drove my little neon back to the homestead. I was greeted by Corey in a suit and tie!
He led me inside where I found a bubble bath complete with candles, music and wine! As if that was not enough, he had also made a candle-lit dinner in front of the fireplace of steak, mushrooms and potatoes!
He topped the whole evening off with an assortment of dark chocalates from See's Candy and an adorable bear that he made for me at Build-A-Bear at Downtown Disney...
Suddenly, the breakfast I had cooked him and DVD and calendar I had made for him didn't seem so great. I had the best night ever with the kindest, most gracious and most loving man in the whole wide world!
