The first thing I pulled out was an adorable ornament for our tree. It was so cute and it touched my heart that he thought to get me one. We decided that our main present to each other was going to be Disneyland passes. We talked and talked and talked about it. Passes are expensive but ultimately we decided that this was the year to do it. We have already gone several times and are happy that we went for it.
Corey also surprised me by picking out a North Face fleece zip-up for our blustery southern California winters...don't I look happy? I told him a long time ago that I wanted one and was so excited that he remembered.
I bought Corey a poker set so that he can perfect his game before we head off to Vegas... It really was a blissful morning as we enjoyed our coffee and being together. We spent too many Christmases apart in the last several years. We are so grateful to be together and made a point to not take the holiday for granted.
As always, Joseph was an ever important part of our celebration. He misses playing under our tree so much. By Christmas morning he had bit holes in nearly every package and chewed on all the ribbons. We had to apologize to everyone for the shabby condition of the wrapping paper on their gifts. I will never forget how fun it was to sit by our first tree, on our first Christmas morning with our first furry baby boy.
