Shrimp Really IS That Easy!

Cooking is quite the challenge for me. Seriously, medication might be in order. We recently bought fresh shrimp in an attempt to learn to cook it since everyone assured us that it was really, really simple. "Humphhh," I thought. "We will see about that."

Step 1: Corey de-shells the shrimp. And manages to look darn hot while doing it.
Step 2: Laura de-veins the shrimp. And manages to almost cut her finger off. Luckily, she has to go to work an evening shift at the urgent care. Cooking to be continued.
Step 3: Laura returns from work with fresh bandage on finger to find husband has set table romantically with flowers, candles and cat resting comfortably on placemat.

Step 4: Corey opens wine because it is clear Laura needs a drink as she states over and over again how much it is going to suck when she burns this shrimp.
Step 5: Laura puts olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, pepper and dried parsely in pan. Holds breath while putting shrimp in. Shrimp cooks quickly turning completely pink in two minutes!!! As Laura repeats, "This can't be right! This can't be right!" over and over again, Corey hands her the glass of wine.

Step 6: Eat the most amazing garlic pan-seared shrimp a first-time shrimp chef has ever made!

So...take it from me...it really is that easy!
