While in Denver for Julie and Tim's wedding, I had hoped to be the ultimate multi-tasker. To say I have a few friends there would be an understatement. My BFF Liz moved to Denver with her husband ten months ago. My high school best friend, Michelle, and her husband moved to Colorado Springs two years ago. Corey's best friend, Kevin, goes to school in Denver. Katie, my cousin, lives in Boulder. Julie lives in Hawaii but is a Colorado native and got married in her home state. I was super excited to get to visit all of these friends and family members! Unfortunately, everyone decided that the first weekend of October was the best weekend of the year in which to get married. I had hoped to make Julie and Tim's wedding a 4-day mini vacation and visit all my Colorado peeps. But, alas, I was in Shannon's wedding on Friday, October 3rd (pictures to come) and had to attend Marisa's wedding (pictures to come) on Saturday, October 4th. This left me with a mere 46 hour trip to Colorado to attend Julie's wedding on October 6th before I had to be back in California at work. But the good news is this: I have ample reasons to return to Colorado! So if I didn't hit you up this trip, I will next time. Katie, this especially means you!

Liz and I drove the 90 minutes to Colorado Springs to visit Michelle and precious baby Hallister. Hallie turned two years old a few weeks ago so we came armed with gifts. She loved her play food and Play-Doh set. To say that she was adorable and precocious would be an understatement. Hallie blew me away with her speech!

She knew the name of everything in her little grocery basket. It is evident that she will be taking after her mother and I as a complete chatterbox. Her vocabulary is amazing and she is talking in full sentences. She has grown so much since my wedding- it is hard to believe that she was once my little baby girl.

Michelle cooked us a delicious dinner of lasagna, garlic bread, salad and yummy chocolate chip cookies. After Hallie went to bed, we sat around the kitchen table and chatted while playing with Hallie's new Play-Doh. We couldn't stop! It was so great to be able to see Michelle even though it was a little mini-visit. I hope to see you, Chris, Hallie and new baby Hinkson soon!
