Wedding 2: Marisa and Keith

Marisa and Keith were married on October 4th, 2008! I grew up with Marisa. Our parents met at church when Marisa's little sister, Nicole, and I were 2 years old. We all went to St. Hedwig together with Nicole and I being in the same class as Shannon (see previous wedding post). In addition, Marisa and Nicole lived just up the street and around the corner. We spent a lot of time playing school (with Marisa as the teacher), dance school (with Marisa as the teacher) and house (with Marisa as the big sister)! Marisa became an RN several years before I did and was even a nurse on the floor where I did one of my student nurse rotations. Marisa and Keith met and fell in love a few years ago. When I met Keith for the first time at yet ANOTHER St. Hedwig event, I loved him immediately. He was so kind and had such honest eyes, I really hoped that he was The One for Marisa. They got engaged last September and Marisa spent the last year planning a romantic and detailed wedding! She wore a beautiful ballgown with pick-ups in the skirt and amazing detail on the train. We both wore the same veil and it looked amazing with her gown. The flowers were beautiful, fall-colored assortments.

Their emotional ceremony was at St. Hedwig Church and oozed with true love. Her reception at the Anaheim Sheraton was AMAZING! She had the "good" chairs (come on ladies, you know what I mean!), beautiful linens with the coveted embroidered overlays (Aunt Diane, aren't you jealous?), their names in lights on the wall (Mom, I know you wanted that for me!) and a candy bar!

We had sooooo much fun! Corey and I hung out with yet another St. Hedwig classmate, Marcie, and her husband, Matt. Those St. Hedwig bonds run deep- Marcie and Nicole could not help but kiss me!

Corey and I did not want to leave the reception. Eventually, we were literally dragged out by my parents. It was a good thing too- (I had to be up at 5am for my flight to Denver for wedding #3)- because this reception had the potential to become an all-nighter!
