Shannon and Danny were married on October 3, 2008! Shan has been my friend since I was five years old. We went to St. Hedwig together for nine years, worked in the church office together and stayed friends as we attended different high schools and universities. Shannon and Danny have been dating for four years and it became evident quite some time ago that he was The One. They got engaged in January and Shannon has spent the last nine months planning the most beautiful wedding down to the last detail!
Shannon was breathtaking in her lace dress, floor length veil and cream-colored rose bouquet. Their simple and personal ceremony was at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Seal Beach.
We took pictures on the Seal Beach Pier aftwards. While most of the day was sunny and beautiful, it was gray and windy down by the water. I wish I had a picture of the wedding party. The bridesmaids were wearing the groomsmen's navy blue blazers in at least half the pictures in an attempt to not freeze to death.
Angie was Shannon's maid of honor. The three of us have been friends for 21 years! We are pretty impressed by that statistic. The reception was at the Newport Beach Bay Club. The room was elegant with hydrangea centerpieces, votive candles and navy blue linens. We had a huge head table for the bridal party AND our dates! The reception was smooth, seamless and everyone had a fantastic time. Shannon and Danny are honeymooning in Bora Bora and are then moving to San Francisco to start their new life together. We will miss them greatly.
This is the only picture of Corey and I from the evening- not the greatest but what is a wedding blog without a picture of the couple who started off The Year of the Wedding?
