The Splash Cafe

Our friends told us about this little cafe that we had to stop at. The Splash cafe is a little seafood restaurant. Our friends raved about their bread bowls of clam chowder. Since it was Friday and Lent, clam chowder seemed like the perfect lunch spot to hit up. We walked and walked and walked looking for this clam chowder hot spot. A few miles later, there it was in all of it's glory. It was adorable and quaint with an outdoor patio. Before we even ordered our food, we believed in the hype of how great it was because there was a line out the door. We waited about 20 minutes to place our order and took a table outside...

When my bread bowl arrived, I got so excited. (Looking back, I don't think it is exactly healthy to get so excited over clam chowder...) Let me assure you, the hype about this place exists for a reason. The chowder was creamy, seasoned to perfection and full of clams...the bread bowl was sourdough buttery goodness that I cannot even begin to describe.

Corey decided to order a grilled ahi sandwich. He should not have done that. It was good but nowhere near as good as my clam chowder. In fact, he ended up eating half of my lunch! We give two thumbs up for the Splash Cafe and their famous clam chowder. (And if you are wondering why I have dark circles under my eyes and why we look so tired it is because we were, in fact, tired. But on this blog, you not only get the good pics of us, but the ugly pics too!)
