Brooklyn and Me

One of the very best things about my friend Julie is her daughter, Brooklyn. She is the bonus, the sprinkles on top, of our friendship. Brooklyn and I had on matching clothes yesterday. Well, we were matching until she took her jeans off and ran around for the next few hours in her shirt and underwear. And no, you will be happy to know that I did not continue that trend. But that is all beside the point. Brooklyn loves animals, jewels, swimming, going off path, the park, raspberries and blueberries, dancing like a princess, and her mommy. In fact, she loves her mommy so much that she often says, "Mommy, I is going to marry you when I get big." Brooklyn reminds me to jump in puddles, climb up the slide backwards and to enjoy MAKING cookies, not just EATING them. Sometimes the best lessons are taught by the littlest teachers.

Oh Laura you have this special way of macking my heart smile! I have always thought of you as the sprinkles on our friendship but you are entitled to your own opinion. Brooklyn loves you Corey and your sons dearly and just so you can hear it again...

MOM-Brooklyn what color do you think is Larra's favorite color?

Brooklyn-UMMM, probably blue just like me!
